Lil Red started out as a cool small scale children’s guitar.  We are not to sure of the make, but by the time we were through with it, it wasn’t just for children anymore.  It has the original tuners (very accurate tuners at that), a trapeze style tailpiece, thin aluminum resonator, hand crafted ebony tipped maple bridge and a vintage Martini strainer sound hole cover.  We have it tuned a 4th higher than standard tuning, but I think this one would sound very unique with a set of octave strings (Nashville tuning) on it.  As it is, it sounds like a cross between a Banjo, a Resonator Guitar and a Venezuelan Quatro.
